Our (growing) Family

Our Beautiful Daughter, Hope Ann.
Our second Blessing on the way (baby due in February 2010).
And can't forget Faith (she considers herself as our 'firstborn').

Hope Ann is our daughter. Born on 08.08.08 | 4:35 PM | 6 lbs, 10 oz | 20 inches. She is a constantly changing bundle of (opinionated) energy, and makes sure we get no rest keeping up with her. From second we looked into those big dark eyes moments after she was born, we fell captive to this gorgeous little girl. She's growing fast, and more adorable every day!

And then there is Faith.
I can't tell you about our family without mentioning her. Faith is an Italian Greyhound. She broke her neck and was paralyzed from the neck down as a young pup at 8 weeks of age. The vets gave no chance of survival or recovery, advising us to put her down. We were told if I was not willing to put her down that we could take her home, brace her neck, take care of her, and 'hope for a miracle'.
Well, today my 'Miracle' is an incredibly bright and happy IG who grew up thinking of me as 'mom' since I spent a couple months doing everything for her and constantly caring her around while she recovered.
I seriously think Faith does not realize she is a dog ... but she has been a perfect 'big sister' for Hope, watching over her as a baby, being used as a pillow for naps, and playing with her now as she grows.
